The 2015 ALERRT Active Shooter Conference being held November 1-4, 2015 at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center in San Marcos, Texas is the only national conference bridging the law enforcement, Fire and EMS responses to active shooter events. This 6th annual conference will bring together and merge the three disciplines (Police, Fire and EMS) to help build local, regional, state and national active shooter response preparedness. We have assembled some of the best instructors and presenters from across the nation who will be sharing debriefs, best practices and lessons learned from headline-grabbing national critical incidents.

The San Marcos and Central Texas area experienced significant rain and flash flooding early this morning. The rain event today will have no effect on the 2015 Conference starting Sunday November 1. The Conference will continued as scheduled and the weather outlook for Conference is clear and sunny with temperatures 57-82.

Integrated response best practices from small, medium and large agencies will be shared along with proven plans to create and establish your own integrated program. Along with hotel breakout classes and debriefs, the 2014 ALERRT Conference will offer an opportunity for Police, Fire and EMS personnel to train together and be introduced to Rescue Task Force (RTF) and integrated response concepts during hands-on training classes.
The 2014 Conference Vendor and Trade Show will showcase the latest equipment, supplies and technology for first responders across all disciplines. The Vendor and Trade Show sold out last year and we fully expect a very large event this year. Sunday’s Vendor and Trade Show includes the best in Texas hospitality with refreshments and NFL Football games broadcast on the big screens.

Who Should Attend:
The ALERRT Conference is for Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS personnel of all ranks. Command-level officers from all disciplines will benefit from the conference and opportunities to meet and interact with colleagues from across the country who have successfully built integrated response programs.
The ALERRT Conference will have a General Assembly for all attendees on Monday, November 17 from 8:00am-5:00pm. On Tuesday and Wednesday, attendees will have the opportunity to attend Hotel Breakout Sessions ranging from 1.5 hours to 4 hours with multiple presentations occurring simultaneously throughout each day. Attendees can also choose to attend a 4-hour Off-Site Practical Operator Course on Tuesday or Wednesday and then attend the Hotel Breakout Sessions at the conclusion of the Off-Site course. The 2014 ALERRT Conference will be held in San Marcos, Texas at the Embassy Suites San Marcos Hotel and Conference Center from November 16-19, 2014. For room reservations, and to ensure you receive the $99 conference room rate, please contact Susan Fillbrandt at 281-788-3194 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. DO NOT CONTACT THE HOTEL DIRECTLY. Reservations must be made and confirmed before October 18 to receive the discounted conference room rate. The conference hotel has sold out the past two years and we expect it to sell out quickly in 2014. You are encouraged to make reservations as soon as possible.
Registration Fee and Payment:
The fee for the 2014 ALERRT Conference is $150. Payment via credit card is encouraged at the time of registration; however, agency purchase orders are accepted. On-site payment is accepted with prior approval. Payment must be received in full by Friday, October 17, 2014 at 5:00pm CST (unless on-site payment has been approved). Unpaid registrations will be cancelled at that time.

The Mississippi ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training) Program has trained more than 6,000 law enforcement professionals throughout the state and has assisted Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, South Carolina, North Carolina and other jurisdictions since 2007. This conference will bring together Law Enforcement responders, Mississippi ALERRT staff and trainees along with Texas ALERRT Instructors and experts in the field of active shooter response. Both on-site scenario based seminars as well as off-site practical operational courses will be offered to law enforcement, active duty military personnel, and select industrial security professionals. This year, ALERRT participants will be joined by Mississippi Information Liaison Officers, Force Protection Units of the Mississippi Task Forces, Citizen Emergency Response Teams and E911 Operators. The event receives primary support from the Mississippi Office of Homeland Security.
