Equipment
All equipment, course materials and consumables are provided for your initial ALERRT scheduled courses: Basic, Train-the-Trainer, Follow-on. Beyond our direct support, if you have the instructor base through our Train-the-Trainer program, and you want to put on an INDIRECT class using Kit Equipment or just require class materials and expendables, then please contact ALERRT Logistics Director Zane Childress - Zane.Childress@txstate.edu. Equipment is only authorized if available and if a department qualifies to obtain the entire Kit of Equipment.
ALL requests for resources (entire kits or Expendables ONLY) must be placed 4 - Weeks prior to the start of the class.
Equipment for all INDIRECT classes will be booked from May 11th until October 1st, 2026. We can still provide the Expendables (ammo or other consumable items inside the kits) if we are given a 4-week prior notification, and the POC can acquire their own equipment. This is for Indirects ONLY. If you have already been approved and have received a shipping date for equipment coming from Lorenzo Villarreal or Zane Childress, then this notification does NOT apply, and you WILL be receiving what was scheduled previously with us. All Manuals are digital now and must be downloaded and dispersed to attending students. Instructors training in the discipline of their choice can find the digital copies of the manuals from their Training Resources. ALERRT-Approved Training Kits
The ALERRT Center has contracted with KDL Solutions, as our sole-source, one-stop solution for all-inclusive ALERRT approved training kits.
KDL Solutions offers a one stop solution for an all inclusive ALERRT approved training kit that includes the specific equipment required for the active shooter training program, as well as expendable resupply kits.These kits have been approved for purchase utilizing US Homeland Security funding.

ALERRT gear and other merchandise can be purchased at Alerrtgear.com. Instructors who've completed a train-the-trainer course can purchases instructor gear using the same login information as alerrt.org.
